Burning Lead And Ink

My Inking Tools

by Jonas Diego

(7) A refillable pen eraser for precise erasing.

(8) A Rotring eraser for erasing large areas.

(9) Chinese ink for my inkwork. They tend to be darker and more even as compared to more expensive brands out there (with the possible exception of Rotring). That and they also happen to be quite cheap and widely available which makes them an instant winner in my book.

(10) Liquid Paper Correction Fluid. An inker’s best friend because nobody’s perfect.

(11) Rulers. I got two because I sometimes tend to misplace my rulers and rather than waste precious time trying to look for the one I lost (they turn up in time anyway) I can just get on with work with my handy-dandy back up ruler…until I lose that one too in which case it’s probably time for a break.

(12) A triangle. I use this to create panels with perfect corners.

(13) French curves. They’re what rulers are to straight lines. I have no idea why they’re called French curves however.

So, what do you got on your drawing table?
