How long have you been making comic books?
I started making comics when I was in college for our church magazine. I started making Carpool strips as early as 2002.

Are you a full-time comic book creator or do you have a day job?
When Carpool was first published in The Manila Bulletin, I didn’t have a day job. The strips came out daily (or as often as I could submit them). I did freelance work at the side, but that didn’t come as much. When Bulletin decided to publish strips weekly, I was forced to get a day job to support myself.

If you have a day job what is it?
I’m currently a graphic artist for a company and have been working there for the past 5 years.

How long have you been making comic books?
Professionally, since 1986. So that makes it 14 years, right?

Hmmm… I’d like to think that I’m a full-time comic creator who supplements his income doing illustration, design work, and storyboards.

If you have a day job what is it?
I used to be a Senior Art Director in the advertising industry but now I’d like to think of myself as a professional artist, much like a doctor who goes into private practice.

How long have you been making comic books?
I’ve been drawing comics since I was in grade 6. My classmates and I used to draw on folded bond papers and trade with each other. We drew Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comics mostly.

I used to draw comics for a living. Nowadays, I draw mostly as a hobby.

If you have a day job what is it?
I’m an Art Director for Digital Art Chefs. We specialize in art outsourcing and concept designs for games, comics, and basically anything related to art.

What comic book project are most known for?
I guess Pasig would be on the top of my list. I also drew Ragnarok comics for Level Up! Games, which ran on Philippine Daily Inquirer and three volumes of Destiny’s Hand for Seven Seas Entertainment in the US.

How long have you been making comic books?
About a year but, to be honest, I’m just a part of the whole Bayan Knights team.

Yup, I have a day job.

I’m a sales representative for a Japanese electronics company.

How did you discover comic books?
Hmmm, let me see. When I was a kid my cousins were reading these Filipino comics then I got addicted to them. He he he!

Through Deviant Art.

How long have you been making comic books?
The first time ko makagawa ng sarili kong comics nung grade 4 pa ako. I’m 31 years old na ngayon, ewan ko lang kung ilang taon na yun. Naging project lang namin yun sa art subject namin. Then after that nag-enjoy na ako. Hanggang highschool I made comics strips sa school news paper namin. Dun na din ako namulat sa mga Marvels and DC. Then nakalimutan ko lang nung nag college ako. I took up Mechanical Engineering kaya wala akong na-meet na may kaparehong interest. Bumalik lang ulit ako sa paggawa ng comics when I met Amely Grace Vidal (creator of Phantom Cat) online. Eto rin ang reason kung bakit ako nasali sa Bayan Knights.

I have a day job kaya ang hirap nga e. Sa status ko ngayon mahirap mag full-time bilang comic book creator.

I’m a graphic designer.

As a comic book inker, since 2005.

I used to have one. I was a human answering machine for almost a year: a call center agent for a local telecommunications company and on the side I was performing along with a number of show bands from Laguna and Manila as a singer. Odd jobs, I know. I left when I started working on comics full-time. It was one of the biggest decisions I had to make and the most fruitful one.

What comic book project are most known for?
It would probably be PLANET HULK with the great Carlo Pagulayan. I have worked with him for three straight years and it was great. It was stressful at times juggling being a family man and an artist at the same time but it was really fun job though Carlo required you to do your utmost best to get the job done. It could really stress you out at times.

I started drawing Tagalog komiks when I was in high school… so maybe, If my math is accurate, I’ve been doing this for about fifty-one years now.

I draw storyboards for TV commercials and help in making people buy stuff.

My first official publication was in Siglo: Freedom in 2003, which means I’m going on 7 years now. Before that I was making comics for fun, sharing them with friends and family, as far back as I can remember.

I’m a full-time freelance artist–which means I make covers, illustrations ,and articles on the side but my specialty and main focus is comics.

I’m pretty much full time, I work at home which is pretty neat. But it also means when I’m home I feel compelled to work. Maybe after a nap.

If I had a day job, I’d be sitting on a desk all day long. Which is pretty much the same thing.
