A Great Place for Art Materials!

by Jonas Diego

Art1Seeing as it was my birthday and all I decided to treat indulge a little and buy myself a little something at the nearby Sketches at Greenbelt 3, a specialty art supply shop that I frequent.

They’re a bit pricey but they carry top of the line art materials. It’s definitely worth the money, in my opinion.

When I got there they informed me that they don’t carry my desired product and that most of their art related stock can now be found at Fully Booked over at Greenbelt 5, some short distance away (does Fully Booked own Sketches?). When I got there and found their art section I was pleasantly surprised to see a variety of products and brands that I’ve only seen online.

  9. Hi Sir Jonas. The one in the picture… is that a Clutch pencil? :D

also, Can you suggest some pens to use for inking comics (that I can purchase locally ofcourse :) )?

  10. They’re both clutch pencils actually. The one at the left (Cretacolor Clutch Pencil) is just a bit thicker than the one at the right (a MARS Lumograph Clutch Pencil).

As for inking, I usually use a Sakura Brush (I prefer the no. 2 and a no. 4) and Cretacolor Calligraphy ink but it takes a lot of practice to be able to use a brush effectively.

If you’re just starting out, UNI Pin technical pens are great tools. After a degree of mastery, try other tools such as crow-quill pens and brushes.

    Best of luck! :)

  11. thank you sir! :D

  12. You’re welcome! :)
